Youth Sports Insurance scheme

A special and an innovative scheme has started by t he Karnataka government called “Youth Sports Insurance Scheme” to support sportspersons by encouraging youths from the state by providing accidental, health and to protect sportspersons. This scheme is implemented for all the sportspersons who are participated and represented Karnataka state in Inter-State, Inter-National and National Level.Eligible sports persons are requested to contact respective Assistant Directors of Youth Empowerment & Sports Department.

Eligibility:All the sportspersons who represented Karnataka State and sportspersons who are studying in Sports School and Sports Hostel, Sports Authority of Karnataka and coaches of affiliated sports organisations are eligible.

Age Limit:Minimum 07 years and maximum 35 years, for trainer’s 18-35 years of age.

Duration:One year from the date of insurance.

Premium:Insurance is free of cost for sportspersons (No fee is collected)

• Funeral , children’s education or employment loss compensation
• The details of all the other facilities, detailed outlines of an insurance policy will be provided to the sportspersons at the time of Insurance.
